According to the Minnesota Department of Education the following will apply:
For probationary teachers, use of data before March 15 – the date of the Governor’s executive order related to distance learning, should be used for the evaluation process and also any contract decisions.
For tenured/continuing contract teachers with summatives due this year, there are two options.
First option is to postpone summative evaluations until the fall of the 2020-2021 school year, use existing data collected before March 15th to complete summative evaluations.
If summative evaluation activities are postponed until the fall of the 2020-21 school year, summative evaluators
must work with teachers whose evaluations were postponed to schedule all remaining activities as soon as
possible in the fall.
